Types and characteristics of new energy vehicles

New energy vehicles mainly include the following types and their characteristics:

A hybrid car. Such vehicles are equipped with at least two power sources and are driven in a composite manner, usually including an internal combustion engine and a battery. The characteristics of hybrid electric vehicles are to realize the effective complementarity of internal combustion engine and vehicle power supply, by converting the energy loss during braking and deceleration into electric energy, improve energy utilization, fuel saving rate up to 20% ~ 40%, and exhaust pollution is also reduced by nearly half.

Pure electric vehicles. This kind of car is powered by on-board power supply (high-performance battery) and driven by motor. Pure electric vehicles are characterized by a wide range of sources of kinetic energy, and can use the current conventional power supply to charge the battery, so as to achieve true zero emissions and low noise during use, which is conducive to the centralized treatment of pollutants.

Fuel cell vehicles. This kind of car uses hydrogen, methanol and other fuels, generates electricity through chemical reactions, and relies on electric motors to drive. Fuel cell vehicles are characterized by high efficiency, no pollution or low pollution, and have a wide range of applications. When hydrogen is used directly as fuel, the emission is water. When methanol is used as fuel, a small amount of carbon dioxide is emitted.

Clean alternative fuel vehicles. This vehicle uses non-petroleum refined liquefied natural gas, compressed natural gas, alcohol fuels (methanol and ethanol), ether fuels (dimethyl ether), biodiesel, coal oil and hydrogen as direct fuel vehicles. The characteristics of clean alternative fuel vehicles are that they still use internal combustion engines as driving devices, and after technical and structural modifications, the performance is comparable to that of ordinary cars and diesel vehicles. The use of clean alternative fuels can reduce the consumption of oil while reducing air pollution and reducing emissions of carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and harmful particulate matter.

Cars with hydrogen engines. This kind of car is powered by a hydrogen engine. Hydrogen engine car is a real zero-emission vehicle, the emission is pure water, with no pollution, zero emissions, abundant reserves and other advantages.

In addition, new energy vehicles also include extended-range electric vehicles, solar vehicles and other types, which have been innovative and improved in technical principle and structure.
